Youth Union members of HCMPC presents gifts to poor families in Tan Quy Tay commune, Binh Chanh district
Young people have installed and repaired for free the power system for 150 disadvantaged households in Tan Quy Tay commune; put on new lighting system on two alley routes in Tan Kien commune, Binh Chanh district.
Secretary of the Youth Union of HCMPC – Ms. Dang My Ly emphasized that volunteer activities in this year's campaign aimed at the poors in the suburbs, policy families and children in need. In addition to helping people live healthily, safely and economically, reducing fire and explosion incidents, electrical accidents, volunteering activities including repairing and installing new electrical systems also helped the youth union members promote the spirit of youth and encouraging them to care for the community.
According to the plan, in the Pink Holiday Campaign of 2017, HCMPC will install and repair electricity system for 200 households for free. They will also rehabilitate low voltage grid and lighting system and compact the information cable system in at least 10 alley routes in the city. Besides, they will repair degraded power system in corridors, walkways, exits of the 2 old apartment buildings.
In addition, the unit also donated a playground for children (worth 50 million) and a house of friendship worth 50 million in Laos, while organizing voluntary blood donation with the participation of 250 young people in the PC. The total cost of carrying out the activities of the campaign is 500 million, with more than 800 members in the PC participating in these activities.
