Praise and reward 59 national and international excellent students being children of Vietnam Electricity’s staff and employee 

On 19 August 2022, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union held a ceremony to commend the children of EVN’s staff and employees who won national and international prizes for the 2021-2022 school year and typical staff and employee families.

Last school year, the whole Vietnam Electricity had 33,204 excellent students at all levels, of which 2,786 children won the title of an excellent student at the district level; 1,870 children won the title of excellent students at the provincial and city levels; 59 children won the title of excellent students at national and international level. In particular, among the achievements, there are 2 international gold medals in Science and Technology; 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal at the Southeast Asia Taekwondo competition; 3 first prizes in computer science, 1 first prize in English nationwide; 4 National gold medals in sports.

Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union affirmed that the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and trade unions at all levels have always performed well in taking care of and protecting the legal rights and benefits of EVN employees; creating trust and motivation for employees in EVN to feel secure in their work, make efforts to dedicate and build a happy family foundation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), on behalf of the leaders of Vietnam the Electricity, congratulated the pupils and students for excellent achievements winning national and international prizes, and 40 typical EVN typical staff and employee families.

Within the framework of the ceremony, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 10 scholarships worth VND 1 million each to 10 children who are children of workers in difficult circumstances, children of workers whose parents unfortunately lost due to COVID-19.

The Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also spends an amount of VND 2.5 million/scholarship to support 10 children who are children of staff and employees in difficult circumstances, and 10 children whose parents died due to COVID-19 to encourage the children to enter the new school year.
