Vietnam Electricity would like to inform electricity customers about the counterfeiting of EVN brand to advertise sales on the internet and social networks.

In addition, over the recent time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity have warned about false advertising information such as "super energy saving devices" or "smart energy saving cards", etc. These advertised devices are absolutely not certified by the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade or the prestigious energy - saving professional organizations on the market in terms of energy - saving effectiveness. This is just a trick to deceive customers, taking advantage of the wish of cost saving of consumers, especially in the hot season when power consumption is high. If there is a type of device that directly affect the operation of the power meter to slow down the power meter, it means that the user of this device is committing acts of electricity theft, thus violating regulations on the use of electricity, and will be subject to retrospective collection of electricity charges, and may even be subject to criminal prosecution according to the provisions of law.
