Since 2010, Hien Luong Commune of Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province has completely changed without encroachment on reservoir, littering and fishing which destroys aquaculture of the reservoir, etc.

Hien Luong commune is located in the Hoa Binh Hydropower reservoir area. Previously, the environmental violations in Hien Luong commune were repeatedly occurring with major violations such as encroaching the reservoir to build workshops, littering, catching seafood with mines, electrifying in extirpative manner, etc., but so far, there is no violation of the hydropower reservoir corridor in the whole commune, the aquaculture is implemented in accordance with standard process, while the extirpative exploitation of aquatic products is no more abused.
