Putting Duc Trong 220 kV substation and branch line into operation

On 25 August 2016 at Phu Hoi commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province, the Southern Power project management board (SPMB) energized, tested and accepted for Duc Trong 220kV substation and branch line being put into operation.

The project included a new Duc Trong 220/110 kV substation - 2x125 MVA in Chi Rong village, Phu Hoi commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province (at this phase, intalled one 125 MVA unit, a double-circuit 220 kV transmission line with a length of 1,060 m connected to the Da Nhim - Di Linh existing 220kV substation; 01 sections of 22 kV single circuit line with a length of 767 meters from the existing 22 kV line to provide power to the auxiliary transformer.

The project has a total investment of over 211 billion by National Power Transmission (EVNNPT) as the investor, on behalf EVNNPT, SPMB manages the project, Power Transmission Company No.3 will take over and manage the operation when the works are completed.

The operation of the project will strengthen the 110 kV power supply to ensure reliable power supply for areas of Duc Trong District, Dalat city and Northern provinces of Lam Dong province; simultaneously receiving power from Da Nhim 220 kV Hydropower Plant and 500 / 220kV Di Linh substation through the Da Nhim - Di Linh 220kV line, ensure stable and reliable power supply, serving the economic, political, social, security and defense aspects in the region.
