Concentrating resources, overcoming unfavorable weather conditions, and speeding up construction progress
According to EVN's report, the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project achieved encouraging results. By the end of June 2024, the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project, from Quang Trach to Pho Noi, had completed construction and energized the 500kV Nam Dinh 1 - Thanh Hoa transmission line project (June 30, 2024, on schedule) and component projects: Expanding bays at Quang Trach 500kV substation (June 8, 2024, 22 days ahead of schedule); Expanding bays at Pho Noi 500kV substation (June 18, 2024, 12 days ahead of schedule); 220kV branch from Thanh Hoa 500/220kV substation to Nong Cong - Ba Che 220kV transmission line, 06 220kV bays, and all 500kV bays at Thanh Hoa 500kV substation (June 28, 2024, 02 days ahead of schedule).
For the remaining 3 component projects (Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi, Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, and Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa), currently, EVN/EVNNPT leaders are directly managing the work at the construction site, directing units to concentrates all resources to urgently construct the remaining work, completing the energization according to the direction of PM.
Currently, the projects’ work is to erect poles and pull wires, with the characteristic of having to work continuously at high altitudes in harsh weather conditions.

Concluding the meeting, PM Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that this is a national key project, of great significance to socio-economic development, ensuring national security and defense, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
Looking back at the very valuable achievements, PM Pham Minh Chinh praised the ministries, branches, localities, relevant agencies, EVN, EVNNPT, and contractors who actively implemented the project, especially thanked and admired the electricians, engineers, and workers on the construction site who performed the work in harsh weather conditions, especially in the "rain bags, fire pans" Central region, rain caused landslides, hot weather caused the temperature on the construction site to sometimes reach 50-60 Celcius degrees...
Meanwhile, the 519km long 500kV transmission line consists of 2 circuits with 24 wires (double as many as single-circuit 500kV lines), constructed on rugged mountainous terrain, each pole weighs an average of 100 tons, the heaviest pole weighs up to 426 tons, etc.

Determined with highest spirit and responsibility to complete set goals
PM required units to continue promoting these lessons learned to complete the remaining work with the highest responsibility, striving to complete the project on the occasion of the upcoming 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and September 2 National Day.

PM directed ministries and branches to actively guide investors and units on related issues, such as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment guiding environmental restoration work; and the Ministry of Industry and Trade directing EVN and investors to quickly deploy power plants in the Power Plan VIII. The Ministry of National Defense, the Oil and Gas Groups, and Viettel coordinate with EVN to mobilize engineering forces, heavy machinery, and equipment to support the construction, especially pulling cables across the river.
