This event is to celebrate the 14th anniversary of establishment of the National Power Transmission Corporation (July 1, 2008 - July 1, 2022). At the same time, this is another important milestone in the 34 years of establishment of the Central Power Projects Management Board (July 7, 1988 - July 7, 2022) – which has been authorized by the National Power Transmission Corporation to manage the project implementation.
Quang Trach - Doc Soi 500kV transmission line and Quang Trach 500kV distribution yard are sub-projects of 500kV transmission line circuit 3 project (Vung Ang - Quang Trach - Doc Soi - Pleiku 2), which started construction in December 2018. The project is composed of building a 500kV double-circuit transmission line with a length of more than 500.14km from Quang Trach 500kV distribution yard (Quang Binh province) to Doc Soi 500kV substation (Quang Ngai province); building 03 optical repeater stations in the middle of the route to amplify and forward information signals.
The subproject of Quang Trach 500kV distribution yard includes building 10 500kV compartments, including 2 feeder lines going to Vung Ang 500kV substation, 2 feeder lines going to Doc Soi 500kV substation, and 4 compartments for main transformers of Quang Trach 1, 2 thermal power plants and 2 backup ones.
The delegates witnessed the moment of energizing Quang Trach - Doc Soi circuit 1 500kV transmission line at 16:35 on May 31, 2022.
The subproject's energizing plays an important role in enhancing the 500kV grid transmission capacity of the national power system; absorbing renewable energy sources in the region; contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the South, as well as the provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Da Nang city and surrounding areas. The completion of the subproject is also a driving force behind the progress of the whole 500kV circuit 3 transmission line project.

Thus, with the successful energizing of Quang Trach - Doc Soi transmission line, in the whole 500kV circuit 3 transmission line project, only Vung Ang - Quang Trach section is under construction. EVNNPT and CPMB will focus all resources to speed up the progress of this section.
