Ms. Pham Hong Hanh - Deputy Head of EVN's Organization and Personnel Department said: In the period of 2016 - 2020, the training and HR development has been built into proper order, providing learning opportunities and development for employees, focusing more on key training programs, timely meeting the knowledge and capacity requirements to serve the production and business objectives of each year.

The management staff training program has been gradually completed, equipped with advanced corporate governance knowledge for the management team at all levels, building up an subsequent force to ensure a continuous transition between generations. EVN's Talent Engineer Training Program has shown its success in attracting and building high quality human resources.
During this period, the Expert Training Project was approved and implemented for the first time, which identified the framework of competency required for the positions of experts towards regional and national standards, implementing many training programs and especially connecting networks of expert candidates to share and support oneanother to handle the work more effectively.
In particular, information technology (IT) has been widely applied in training and examination at member units across the Group, contributing to reducing costs and initially changing the learning culture of employees.
Speaking at the meeting, EVN Deputy General Director Vo Quang Lam said that improving the HR has always been identified as a key task throughout the development process of Vietnam Electricity, especially when the "competition" in the high-quality labour market takes place more and more fiercely.
The Group needs to focus on strong innovation and synchronous training with the goal that all employees master better skills and capabilities, and are ready for the transformation. The Group and its units should pay attention to training and developing high-quality human resources; enhancing the seeking for and fostering of talents, improving the quality of the technical - operating management teams and skilled workers. Besides, it is required to regularly renew, update content and apply information technology in training and testing; increase the number of training and retraining programs on new technologies, modern techniques, and training of talented engineers and technical experts in the key fields.
Expected overall targets in the training of occupational skills of EVN in the 2021 – 2025 period:
- STANDARDIZATION: Standardize the capacity to build a foundation to improve the level of HR of the Group, focus on building a high-quality workforce to fulfill EVN's production and business tasks in the period of 2021 - 2025;
- digitization: Promoting the application of new science and technology in training, building a modern learning environment to support promoting an active learning culture throughout the Group; Building a culture of active learning of employees towards self-study and personal capacity development;
- Realization: Building a system of tangible knowledge assets, gradually disseminating expert knowledge into common knowledge in order to improve the HR quality.
