For Electricity Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1), the attendants included General Director Nguyen Huu Thinh; Deputy General Director Le Hai Dang.
Reporting to the working group, Director of UBTPP Do Trung Kien said that in 2024, the Company's electricity production plan is 4.071 billion kWh. Of which, dry season electricity output is 2.338 billion kWh.
To ensure this electricity output plan, the Company has carefully prepared in purchasing materials and repairs, serving the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting process, and ensuring the production line operates stably to meet capacity mobilization requirements.

From the second half of 2023, the Company has handled equipment defects, completed maintenance and repair work, and prepared fuel to ensure safe and reliable operation of power units during the dry season and throughout 2024.
Specifically, the Company has replaced the DCS System and excitation system of unit S8 in 2023; carried out overhaul of power unit S8, and minored overhaul of power unit S7 by the end of 2023.
In addition, in the first 2 months of 2024, the Company continued to consolidate and handle equipment defects through machine shutdowns. In March 2024, the Company continues to handle equipment defects and complete maintenance and repair work.
Regarding fuel preparation for electricity production, Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) signed a contract with Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) to supply coal for the operation of Uong Bi Thermal Power Plant with a volume of 2 million tons.
To meet enough operating coal as well as ensure coal inventory according to EVN's norms, EVNGENCO1 also asked Vinacomin to supply an average of 200 thousand tons/month from March to the end of June 2024. During implementation, EVNGENCO1 will regularly coordinate and update coal demand according to actual operations to make appropriate adjustments.
In addition, the Corporation also established a specialized adjustment team, taking advantage of human resources and equipment from plants to support units when necessary. The adjustment team has organized an assessment of the boiler's operating status and continues to coordinate closely with UBTPP to control coal quality and currently adjust the furnace to avoid the occurrence of boiler slag.
