Vice President of EVN Nguyen Tai Anh works with Belgian business delegation

On 22 March 2024, in Hanoi, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN)  Nguyen Tai Anh welcomed and worked with the delegation of Belgian businesses on cooperation opportunities in the energy field.

Attending the delegation, was Ms. Eve Devoldere, Trade & Investment Counselor of the Belgian Embassy, along with representatives of DEME Group, Jan De Nul Group, HydroScan Company, and Engie Laborelec Research Center.

The Belgian Embassy wishes to be a bridge to promote the cooperative relationship between EVN and leading Belgian businesses. Thereby, contributing to establishing alliances to face common challenges in the process of energy transition and combating climate change, developing clean energy, reducing carbon emissions, etc. Trade & Investment Counselor of the Belgian Embassy also affirmed that Belgian businesses are ready to share experience and advanced technology in the field of clean energy development with EVN.

At the meeting, representatives of businesses in the delegation expressed their desire to cooperate with EVN in fields such as offshore wind power, electricity services, etc.

On EVN's side, Vice President of EVN Nguyen Tai Anh expressed his approval of cooperation proposals from the Belgian Embassy. EVN leader also exchanged some useful information about the energy development situation in Vietnam, emission reduction trends, etc.

The parties united to continue to have working sessions to further promote opportunities and cooperation between EVN and Belgian businesses in the field of energy, carbon emission reduction, and green economic development.
