Vice President Vo Quang Lam expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation and provided an overview of the adjusted National Power Development Plan for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050. He noted that in recent years, thanks to the Vietnamese Government’s incentive policies, renewable energy in Vietnam has grown rapidly.

EVN has made significant efforts to promote the development of renewable energy. The Group is also investing in pumped-storage hydropower projects and expanding existing hydropower plants to increase power supply capacity in the service of the country's socio-economic development.

EVN’s Vice President expressed interest in learning from the experiences of businesses within the Jiangsu Energy Storage Association, particularly successful energy storage models already implemented in Jiangsu Province and other regions of China. He also expressed a desire to hear about incentive policies for rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) that encourage both residential and business participation.

During the meeting, representatives of Chinese enterprises introduced their business activities, including equipment manufacturing and investment in renewable energy projects.

The Association’s leaders shared their interest in fostering cooperation with EVN and Vietnamese enterprises to leverage mutual strengths and exchange experience for sustainable energy development.

The Jiangsu Energy Storage Association (China) was established in September 2021 and is the first provincial-level association in China dedicated to energy storage. As a key organization within Jiangsu’s industrial system, it plays a vital role in promoting the development, expansion, and improvement of the energy storage value chain. The Association serves as a bridge connecting government, enterprises, and research institutes, focusing on core issues such as technology, policy, and industrial collaboration, with a shared goal of carbon neutrality.
