During the meeting, EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai noted that EVN is accelerating investment in power system development, adopting new technologies, and strengthening its management and operational capabilities to ensure a reliable electricity supply in support of Vietnam's high economic growth targets. Against this backdrop, EVN seeks to strengthen cooperation with Swedish partners, particularly through the exchange of experience in the research and application of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission technology, as well as support for enhancing EVN's capabilities in digital transformation and cybersecurity.

The two sides also reviewed the outcomes of their cooperation to date. In particular, the Swedish Workplace Programme (SWP) has contributed to promoting dialogue on gender equality across EVN's member units. They also discussed plans to train internal trainers to sustain and further expand the programme's activities.

In addition to existing areas of cooperation, NIR introduced and proposed cooperation under the Sustainable Impact Accelerator (SCIA) programme, aimed at strengthening EVN's capacity to prepare and implement sustainable infrastructure projects.

The Swedish side reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to support Vietnam's energy transition and sustainable development through cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.

The two sides agreed to continue working together to assess EVN's needs, identify priority areas, and develop a cooperation plan aligned with EVN's practical requirements, providing a basis for implementation in the coming period.
