The Government's report on practicing economy and avoiding waste in 2020 (updated to 5 May 2021) showed that 117 agencies and units (including 34 ministries and sectors, 63 provinces/cities, 20 state-owned groups and corporations) saved more than VND84,635 billion, in which, budget and state capital saved were VND50,628 billion, while savings of capital at enterprises were more than VND34,000 billion.
Among 117 agencies and units, Vietnam Electricity saved the most with VND15,755 billion; Hanoi city ranked second with a total savings of more than VND10,287 billion; Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group ranked third with a total savings of more than VND6,558 billion.
