Vietnam Electricity donated VND 10 billion to the Central Crime Prevention Fund

On 24 June 2022 in Hanoi, the Government's Steering Committee for Crime Prevention held a ceremony to launch and receive support and funding for the Central Crime Prevention Fund. Attending the ceremony, on the side of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) leaders, there was Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of EVN’s Member Board.

Crime Prevention Fund is an off-budget state financial fund; Charter capital upon establishment of the Fund is supported by the State budget and supplemented by lawful funding sources and voluntary contributions of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals.

In the spirit of actively responding to the call of the Government's Steering Committee for Crime Prevention, Vietnam Electricity decided to support the Central Crime Prevention Fund with an amount of VND 10 billion.

Over the past years, in addition to successfully completing the tasks of ensuring power supply for the country's economic and social development and people's daily life, Vietnam Electricity has always paid attention to and actively participate in activities to support social security as well as contribute to the performance of national defense and security tasks. In addition to the recently supporting Central Crime Prevention Fund, some typical activities that EVN has actively participated in recent years, such as donating the vaccine fund VND 400 billion, donating the Wave and computers for children VND 60 billion, donating the program to build 600 houses for the poor in Nam Po district launched by the Ministry of Public Security with a value of VND 30 billion, donating the construction of multi-purpose cultural houses in Truong Sa island district with a value of VND 35 billion, etc.
