The resolution sets out the goals, striving by the end of 2022, EVN will basically transform into an enterprise operating under the digital enterprise model. At the same time, it is required to identify, select and develop digital transformation with focus on such as data digitization with the aim at "an infrastructure, a database", digitizing customers, digitizing business processes, procedures for the application of science and technology in EVN's activities, taking advantage of the research achievements of Industrial Revolution 4.0, etc. In fact, in recent years, EVN has strongly and synchronously applied the system of information technology, effectively serving the management as well as in production and business activities of EVN. As a result, bringing many benefits to power customers and contributing to building a digital economy.
Specifically, on the National Public Service Portal, by mid-October 2020, there have been about 1,900 types of online procedures served with a total of 493,000 online service records. Notably, about 90% of the total records are for electrical services. Also through the power customer care websites, just surf Facebook, use Zalo, customers can also request for electricity service, lookup and make payment for electricity bills, and so on.

The strong and right-track implementation of digital transformation has created a resilience for EVN, maximizing service utilities for power users. Particularly, the quality of electricity service is recognized by positive reviews from international organizations. In 2019, Vietnam's access-to-electricity index was ranked by the Doing Business - World Bank organization, ranked 27/190 countries, economies in the world and ranked in the Top 4 ASEAN.
Recently, 9 agencies and units of EVN were honored with the title “excellent digital transformation enterprise” at the awarding ceremony "Vietnam Digital Awards 2020". Together with EVN, the units, including Power Generation Corporation 1, Northern Power Corporation, Southern Power Corporation, Vinh Long Power Company, Phu Quy Power Company - Binh Thuan Power Company, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, Central Power Corporation, and Da Nang Power One-Member Limited Company were also honored with title “Excellent Digital Transformation Enterprise”. EVN's typical application solutions for digital transformation participated in the competition and was honored as the product set of "Power User Management Information System (CMIS), Power and Grid Engineering Management Software (PMIS), Construction Investment Management (IMIS) and Office Management (E-Office)”. There are also other application solutions from EVN's agencies and units.
EVN has put into operation 63 remote control centers and performed remote control for 850 unmanned 220kV and 110kV substations, contributing to increasing efficiency in the management and operation of the national power system, and improving labour productivity.
