2019 was the first year since Vinh Tan 4 TPP has come into operation.

Overcoming a challenging year, Vinh Tan 4 TPP has performed good environmental management and protection. Environmental indicators on dust, flue gas, water, etc., are all within allowed levels and much lower than the targets given in the Environmental Impact Assessment Report, the general director noted.
Vinh Tan 4 TPP has implemented local monitoring and transmitted measured signals of basic emission parameters to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan province for 24/24h monitoring and supervision; arranged personnel (three shifts of four crews) to supervise ash and slag transportation and handling by contractors within the plant and at the slag area, in compliance with the regulated ash and slag transportation and handling.

At the conference, EVN announced the decision to establish the fuel consumption control working group for Vinh Tan 4 TPP.
According to a report of Vinh Tan 4 TPP, since its officially put into operation in January 1st, 2019, the plant has basically completed the targets and tasks assigned by EVN; ensured safe and continued power generation, met the power output of the power system, especially in the peak months of the dry season, contributing to assurance of national energy security.
Vinh Tan 4 TPP has been active in recruiting, training, arranging personnel needed for both maintaining stable operation of the two power units of Vinh Tan 4 TPP, and participating in supporting and supervising the testing of Expanded Vinh Tan 4 TPP, contributing to completion of the testing and hand-over of commercial operation of S3 unit of Expanded Vinh Tan 4 TPP three months earlier than scheduled.
Targets of production and business plan in 2020:
- Power output (three power units): 11,881 million kWh
- Commercial power output of Phuoc Thai 1 solar power: 40.82 million kWh;
- Rate of auxiliary system consumption: 7.14%, equivalent to 848.95 million kWh.
