EVN leaders work with Vinh Phuc province on implementation status of key and urgent power projects

On November 11, in Vinh Phuc, General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) Nguyen Anh Tuan and the EVN delegation had a working session with the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee (Vinh Phuc PPC) Tran Duy Dong, on the implementation of key and urgent power projects in the province.
The work was also attended by EVN’s Vice President Pham Hong Phuong, representatives of EVN's professional departments, leaders of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), and Vinh Phuc Power Company.

At the meeting, EVN’s Vice President Pham Hong Phuong reported on the implementation of investment in power projects in Vinh Phuc province. To ensure power supply in the province, EVN is implementing 26 power grid projects with 3 500kV projects, 7 220kV projects and 16 110kV projects. Of which, the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV Transmission Line project is invested by the Group (implemented by Power Project Management Board No. 1). In addition, there are 9 500-220kV projects invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation and submitted to competent authorities for approving EVNNPT to be the investor; 16 110kV projects invested by the Northern Power Corporation (of which 6 projects are under construction, 10 projects are in the stage of project preparation ).

For the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV Transmission Line Project, Vinh Phuc PPC requested to establish a provincial working group chaired by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to direct compensation and site clearance. For districts where the project passes through, a Steering Committee will be established to directly direct the site clearance, and relevant departments and branches will closely coordinate to complete procedures on planning, land use plans, and conversion of land and forest land use purposes.
Regarding other key and urgent power projects, the Chairman of Vinh Phuc PPC requested departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities and EVN to closely coordinate and accelerate the progress of project implementation, assigning the Department of Industry and Trade as the standing agency of the Power Development Steering Committee, closely monitoring the progress of projects to complete projects on schedule, meeting the province's increasing power demand.
