EVNCPC has 5 works winning Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2024

The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) has just announced the results of the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards (VIFOTEC) 2024. The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has 5 works submitted to the competition and all 5 projects won prizes, with 2 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes, and 1 Encouragement prize.

Accordingly, the awards EVNCPC was honored to receive include

Second Prize: Work on Building a tool to integrate data from the EVN PMIS technical management program and automatically draw power lines to initialize and edit medium-voltage grid data on GIS maps (Author Group: Truong Tung Chau, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Pham Ngoc Quang, Ho Quoc Viet, Nguyen Van Minh - Da Nang Power Company Limited);

Second Prize: Work on Researching, designing, and manufacturing a simulation set of Recloser and LBS stations on the medium-voltage power grid (Author Group: Truong Minh Tu, Luong Quoc Trong, Le Tran Hoang Viet, Vo Nhu Vu, Pham Thien - Da Nang Power Company Limited)

Third Prize: Work on Researching, calculating, and analyzing optimal solutions for managing the feeder current of the low-voltage power grid (Author Group: Le Hong Cuong, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Vo Van Phuong, Nguyen Van Hieu, Nguyen Cong Minh - Da Nang Power Company Limited).

Third Prize: Work on Researching, designing, and manufacturing switching equipment simulating the distribution power grid to serve the testing of DMS/DAS functions (Author group: Ho Hy Vinh, Trinh Quoc Chien, Doan Quang Minh, Nguyen Van Vinh, Le Van Ngan - Central Electricity Testing Company Limited; Vo Khac Hoang - EVNCPC Technical Department).

Encouragement Prize: Work on Researching building a warning system for power outages at public substations due to a circuit breaker tripping via Eoffice chat (Author group: Le Hong Cuong, Huynh Thao Nguyen, Phan Quang Tu - Da Nang Power Company Limited; Duong Minh Kiet – EVNCPC’s Information Technology Company).

EVNCPC's topics and solutions are highly appreciated for their feasibility and practical effectiveness, directly meeting the requirements from actual production and business, improving labor productivity, and professional work area quality.

With the achievement of 5 more VIFOTEC awards in 2024, accumulated over the years, to date, EVNCPC authors and author groups have achieved a total of 18 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards, with 1 First Prize, 6 Second Prizes, 9 Third Prizes, and 2 Encouragement Prizes.

The Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards is annually organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The award aims to honor the practical research of scientists nationwide to help improve socio-economic efficiency, promote business production, improve productivity, and quality, reduce product costs, replace imports, and create a technology market serving life, security, and national defense.
