
Staff and employees of Duc Co and Gia Lai Power Company inspect and ensure safety of power grid at Le Thanh International border gate area
After its completion, the power line from Vietnam’s national grid has been operating continuously and stably through the Le Thanh International Border Gate, contributing to the socio-economic development of rural areas in Ratanakiri province.
In May 2011, the power line from the Le Thanh border gate through Ratanakiri province came into operation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the border localities.
The power line from Duc Co 110kV Substation to the border area (Le Thanh International border gate) and Ratanakiri province is more than 20km long. To ensure stable voltage at the end of the power line, especially during peak hours when demand increases, Duc Co Power Company has assigned technical staff to regularly monitor operating parameters through measurement programs. Based on the collected data, appropriate solutions are implemented to ensure the best possible power quality for the people of Ratanakiri province.
Mr. Heng Piseth, Director of Ratanakiri Power Company, said: "Gia Lai Power Company in general and Duc Co Power Company in particular have made many efforts to supply stable power for Ratanakiri province. We firmly believe that, building on our long-standing and positive relationship as well as your strong support and cooperation, our two units will continue to enhance coordination in operation management and electricity trading, in full alignment with the cooperation agreements reached by the Governments of our two countries".
One year later, Gia Lai Power Company continued to construct, renovate, and upgrade the power distribution system through the Le Thanh International Border Gate, with a 24-kilometer 22kV transmission line. In 2021, Gia Lai Power Company continued to prioritize investment resources, allocating over VND 3.5 billion for power grid repairs and VND 3.9 billion for construction investment, aiming to ensure the best possible power supply for customers in the area as well as in Cambodia.
Director of Duc Co Power Company (PC Gia Lai), Tang Van Dung, said: "In order for the power line to operate stably for Ratanakiri province, every year we allocate a certain amount of capital for renovation and upgrading. In addition, in the management and operation work, we regularly inspect the power grid, clear the corridors of power lines passing through natural forests as well as rubber forests, inspect the load level, and phase difference of the power grid; use thermal cameras and flycams to inspect the entire line, thereby promptly detecting and handling abnormal conditions of the power grid".
Every year, to ensure a stable, uninterrupted, and safe power supply for the people of Ratanakiri province, Kingdom of Cambodia to celebrate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmey New Year, Duc Co Power Company has made a plan and assigned specific tasks to the departments and teams to inspect and maintain the power grid and organize a force on duty to be ready to perform the task.
With the achieved results, in the spirit of the highest responsibility, in the coming time, Gia Lai Power Company will continue to pay attention to performing well the operation of the 35kV line, supplying stable power to Ratanakiri province; contributing to increasing the development relationship, in line with the meaning of friendly and cooperative electricity.
