Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2), Solarvest Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Hai My Saigon Factory Co., Ltd. (EVM) signed a cooperation agreement under the direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) mechanism on January 17 in Ho Chi Minh City. The agreement aims to provide clean electricity from Solarvest and PECC2 for EVM's operations in Vietnam.

As a member of EP Group and a sports shoe manufacturing partner for a world-leading brand, EVM is known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable development. EVM actively seeks renewable energy solutions to reduce carbon emissions and support Vietnam's green energy transition.

Of the two types of DPPA stipulated in Decree 80/2024/ND-CP, the DPPA mechanism through the national grid (virtual DPPA) has been chosen by the parties. This mechanism allows EVM, with a large demand for renewable energy, to access large-scale renewable energy sources through power purchases via the national grid.

With their capacity and expertise, the parties aim to simplify the process of applying renewable energy solutions and speed up the progress of participating in the DPPA mechanism for solar energy projects.

3 enterprises sign cooperation agreement

According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Phu, Deputy General Director of PECC2: “The cooperation with Solarvest and EVM allows PECC2 to provide large-scale green electricity for EVM's operations in Vietnam. With the mission of promoting clean and sustainable energy transition, PECC2 has been developing renewable energy projects to provide green and clean electricity to businesses through the DPPA mechanism, helping customers access cooperation opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
