TCVN ISO 50001:2019/ISO 50001:2018 is an international standard for energy management systems that enables organizations to establish mechanisms for managing, monitoring, and continuously improving energy performance. The standard requires enterprises to develop energy policies, identify energy performance indicators, set improvement objectives, and implement measures to optimize energy use in their production and business operations.

Achieving ISO 50001:2019/ISO 50001:2018 certification is the result of a comprehensive implementation process of the energy management system at both plants, including workforce training, process standardization, and the development of a culture of efficient energy utilization.

This certification demonstrates the strong governance capabilities and professional operation and maintenance (O&M) services of Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3). It also contributes to the realization of sustainable development goals, the transition toward cleaner and greener energy, and the enhancement of power generation performance of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) in general and EVNGENCO3 in particular.

Phu My 3 and Phu My 2.2 are combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants located within the Phu My Power Center. Equipped with advanced technology and high-efficiency systems, both plants are well-positioned to meet dispatch requirements effectively.

Following their transfer from the BOT investors to EVN, the two plants were assigned to EVNGENCO3 for operation, maintenance, and repair under O&M contracts.

Leveraging its extensive experience in operating combined-cycle gas turbine power plants, EVNGENCO3 Operations Service Center (OPS) has maintained the generating units in stable and efficient operation with high availability. This has significantly contributed to ensuring reliable electricity production and supply for the national power system and supporting EVNGENCO3’s overall operational objectives.
