This year's Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) is particularly special for the Tay ethnic people in Tham Pat village, Lam Thuong commune, Lao Cai province. Since the 20th day of the 12th lunar month, the national power grid illuminated this remote and underprivileged village.

Joy was evident in the eyes and smile of Ms. Ly Thi May, a social worker in Tham Pat village. For her and the more than 225 people from 53 households here, being supplied with power is not only a light to dispel the darkness, but also a turning point in their lives.

According to Mr. Ha Minh Tuan, Team Leader of the Luc Yen Area Power Management Team, Lao Cai Power Company, after the State invested in electricity projects in remote villages and hamlets, the local power company took over management and operation, ensuring a safe, continuous, and stable electricity supply. During the Tet holiday, the unit deployed 100% of its personnel on duty and prepared sufficient spare parts to be ready to handle any incidents and serve the people so they could enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet fully.
In Tham Pat and many other highland villages, electricity has opened up opportunities for sustainable development. And behind that bright light is the perseverance and dedication of the Northern Power Corporation's employees, ensuring that the Spring always brings abundant light.
