In the first six months of 2026, the Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 Extension thermal power plants generated a total of 4,621.27 million kWh, reaching nearly 40% of the 2026 annual plan. During the same period, power generation from the Phuoc Thai 1, Phuoc Thai 2, and Phuoc Thai 3 solar power plants reached 40.29 million kWh, 33.25 million kWh, and 14.74 million kWh, respectively, representing 55.96%, 23.09%, and 37.28% of their annual targets.
Alongside its production activities, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has implemented comprehensive environmental protection measures, ensuring that emission levels for dust, smoke, and wastewater remain below permissible limits. In the first six months of this year, the ash and slag utilization rate exceeded 182% of the volume generated.
Emulation movements have been effectively promoted through close coordination between the plant's operational departments and the Trade Union. In the first six months of the year, nine initiatives were recognized at the grassroots level, achieving over 56% of the annual target, thereby contributing to Vietnam Electricity’s "10,000 Initiatives" program and helping to boost labour productivity, optimize operations, and reduce costs.
Regarding tasks for the second half of 2026, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant aims to fulfill the production and business targets assigned by EVN, achieving a total electricity output of 11,852 million kWh. Specifically, the generation output from Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 Extension thermal power plants is set at 11,564 million kWh, while the solar power output from the Phuoc Thai 1, 2, and 3 plants is targeted at 288 million kWh. To meet these generation goals, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant is prioritizing key techno-economic indicators, proactively managing fuel supplies to ensure continuous production aligned with dispatch requirements and inventory levels, and simultaneously implementing measures to reduce coal consumption and optimize costs.
