Inauguration cerrmony of the Phu Lac wind farm
Phu Lac wind farm project -phase 1 was commenced on July 27, 2015 and completed on September 19, 2016. The wind farm has a capacity of 24 MW. The total investment was VND 1,089 billion, of which the German Bank for Reconstruction (KfW) financed EUR35 million and the rest was the capital of the investors. The equipment of the project was supplied by Vestas, Sweden. The consultant of the project Fichtner- Germany.
The wind farm will produce the annual energy of 59 million kWh. It is connected to the 110 kV Phan Ri-Ninh Phuoc line. The power purchase agreement was implemented according to the circular 32/2012/TT-BCT of Ministry of Industry and Trade with the purchase electricity price followed the Decision No. 37/2009/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
Phu Lac wind farm project is the first wind power project invested by EVN via the Thuan Binh Wind Power Joint Stock Company. Aiming at developing a standard wind power project, EVN then uses it as a foundation for providing specific proposals to the Government in formulation of policies on renewable energy as well as wind power development in Vietnam.
24 MW of wind power is supplemented to the national power system
To date there are 19 wind power projects having been registered for development in the province of Binh Thuan, including Phu Lac wind farm.
|Known that Thuan Binh wind power joint stock company was contributed by EVN and its member units up to 75% of the capital. It was established on January 10, 2009 with the main tasks of study, survey and investment in clean energy projects in the Central Coastal and Highland provinces. After the Phu Lac wind farm project – phase 1, the Thuan Binh wind power joint stock company will continue implementing investment projects of wind power combined with solar power such as: Phu Lac wind and solar power project – Phase 2 (126 MW); Loi Hai project (120 MW); Vinh Hao project (60 MW); Ea H'Leo project (350 MW) and Kong Chro project(400 MW).
