Boston Consulting Group hopes to support EVN in converting into  digital enterprise

On July 22nd, 2019, in Hanoi, Deputy General Director of EVN Vo Quang Lam exchanged and worked with the delegation from Boston Consulting Group (USA) on converting into digital enterprises of EVN.

Successfully implementing digital conversion is one of the goals set by EVN, under the Scheme on Research, Development and Application  of Technology from 4th Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) into production and business of Vietnam Electricity.

Deputy General Director of EVN Vo Quang Lam said that in the business - customer services, EVN had started providing level-1 online electricity services since 2013. By 2018, EVN had served online electricity services in the highest level in Vietnam - level 4.

In 2019, EVN will perform electricity transactions with its customers in electronicization method (including transactions by electronic signature). At the same time, EVN is also actively preparing to operate the competitive electricity retail market from 2020, one year earlier than planned.

The digital conversion at EVN is carried out under a roadmap with specific and focused orientations.

Along with the business - customer services, EVN will continue to digitize in such areas as: Management of power transmission grid, operation of power plants, management of customers selling rooftop solar power, etc.

At the working, Mr. Christopher Malone - Director of Boston Consulting Group Vietnam and Mr. Magin Yanez, in charge of the global energy of this group exchanged experiences in implementing digital conversion in energy enterprises globally; in which it was emphasized that the conversion has been not only a change in terms of digital technology application, but also a process of innovating the operation model, changing the working method of enterprises.

Mr. Christopher Malone proposed that the two parties should continue to organize seminars and working sessions to strengthen professional exchanges and bilateral cooperation.
