The scale of the project consists of the construction of a 500kV two-circuit line of 20km running through three districts of Tra On, Tam Binh, Binh Tan and Binh Minh town of Vinh Long Province.
The project has a total investment of VND 2.586 billion invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), SPMB on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project, Power Engineering Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 3, Power Transmission Company 4 are the consultant units and the operation management units when the project is completed.
The main task of the project is to transmit the capacity of Song Hau 1 and Hau 2 Thermal Power Plants to the national power system. At the same time, along with other 500kV lines in the power transmission area of the Southwest power plants to Ho Chi Minh City.
After completion, Song Hau - Duc Hoa 500kV line will contribute to ensuring safe and stable operation, improving the reliability of power supply, serving the socio-economic development needs of the provinces: Hau Giang, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Long An and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the plan, the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2018, in time to serve the power generation testing of the units of Song Hau Thermal Power Center.
