Because the situations were taken into consideration in advance, the power industry was very proactive before all changes of the weather. In fact, at all APEC venues, three backup power sources are available, including on-site UPS system. "So far, the power has been continuously, stably supplied, without the phenomenon of power flicker or failure even in a second," - said Mr. Ngo Tan Cu.
Along with ensuring power, the officials and employees of Da Nang Power Company Limited conducted cleaning up from Dragon Bridge to Nhu Nguyet street, as well as around the headquarters to ensure the beauty of the city during the APEC meetings, according to the initiative of leaders of Da Nang City People’s Committee.

In Hoi An City - Quang Nam Province, at the peak of flood, 70/300 transformer stations of the whole city was flooded, including output 478/Hoi An supplying power to Hoai River Square - an important place of some APEC’s activities are scheduled to take place on 11/11/2017.
Before this situation, Hoi An City Power has proactively isolated the power line to ensure safety in flooding and high water level conditions. At the same time, the Company has mobilized the shock forces from other power units to support Hoi An City Power to restore power grid.
On 08/11/2017, the entire load was re-supplied, ready to supply APEC’s activities.
