Mr. Fabian Aguilar Leiton - General Director of IPV highly appreciated and thanked Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation for supplying sufficient electricity to meet IPV’s needs. Currently, IPV has established its second factory, therefore IPV’s requirements for electricity supply quality will be increasingly higher.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC, said that the company will invest in an additional 110 kV underground cable to supply electricity to IPV. In the first 9 months of 2017, it was assessed that the quality of power supply to IPV in particular and the Hi-Tech Park in general was more stable with a significant reduction of numbers of failures in comparison with the same period last year.
IPV is a subsidiary of Intel Corporation, the world leader in microchip technology. The stability of power supply to IPV should be ensured that any power interruptions, even for just one second, are intolerable. Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation supplied electricity to IPV via a dedicated substation sourced from two 110 kV lines, ensuring the N-1 criterion.
Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation regularly enhances the frequency and area of patrolling and inspecting power grids inside and outside the Intel 110 kV substation, in combination with the use of advanced diagnostic and testing devices such as thermal cameras, local discharge measurement devices, and corona discharge cameras to quickly detect malfunction threats.
