Donating VND 1.5 billion to support the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic

On July 31, 2020, in Da Nang City, representatives of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) directly donated VND 1.5 billion to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city to support the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in the city.

Mr. Truong Thiet Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Power Corporation, as authorized by EVN,  donated VND 1 billion to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City

At the donation ceremony, under the authorization of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Mr. Truong Thiet Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Power Corporation donated VND 1 billion from EVN’s budget; Mr. Ngo Tan Cu - General Director of EVNCPC donated VND 500 million from the welfare fund and the contribution of EVNCPC’s employees to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City to support the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in the city.

EVNCPC’s General Director Ngo Tan Cu said that, at present the Corporation is focusing resources and arranging manpower to ensure safe, stable and uninterrupted power supply for hospitals, field hospitals and isolation zones to serve the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, Mr. Huynh Duc Tho - Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee expressed his thanks to Vietnam Electricity and the Central Power Corporation for their constant collaboration with the city in social security activities and especially in the current prevention and control of COVID pandemic.

In the coming time, Da Nang city will face many more difficulties and challenges when the number of confirmed cases are likely to increase. Mr. Chairman hopes that the city will attract further interest and support from people and businesses across the country, joining hands to repel the pandemic.
