EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam works with Polish Embassy and Elproma Company

On June 4th, 2024, in Hanoi, EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam held a meeting and working session with a delegation from the Polish Embassy and Elproma Company. The discussion focused on solutions related to information security and cybersecurity.

The Polish delegation included Ms. Justyna Pabian, Head of the Political-Economic Section of the Polish Embassy; Mr. Alexander Nowakowski, Second Secretary for Economic Affairs of the Polish Embassy; Mr. Tomasz Widomski, Member of the Supervisory Board and co-founder of Elproma; and Mr. Michal Grzywacz, Business Development Director of Elproma.

During the meeting, Mr. Tomasz Widomski, a member of the Supervisory Board and co-founder of Elproma, expressed his gratitude to the EVN leadership for their hospitality in meeting with the delegation. He provided an overview of the company, highlighting that Elproma is a technical firm with over 30 years of experience developing solutions for IOT, timing, and remote metering systems.

During the visit and working session at EVN, Elproma expressed its desire to introduce EVN to solutions for communication connectivity, cybersecurity, etc., and discussed opportunities for collaboration with EVN in these fields.

On behalf of the Polish Embassy, Ms. Justyna Pabian, Head of the Political-Economic Section, stated that the Embassy is ready to act as a bridge and support the cooperation between EVN and Polish enterprises in various fields to benefit both countries.

Ms. Justyna Pabian also expressed her expectation that Elproma's solutions will support EVN in cybersecurity and help develop a strong partnership with EVN in the future.

Welcoming the delegation, EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam provided information on the structure of power sources, the current electricity, renewable energy, and the rules of power market operation in Vietnam. The EVN leadership highly appreciated Poland's proactive approach to Polish enterprises in the fields of energy transition and smart grid development, as shared by the Polish Embassy. For EVN, the corporation strived to explore energy transition solutions aiming at the net-zero emission commitment by 2050.

The EVN leadership also mentioned that renewable energy sources, including wind and solar power, currently account for about 27% of the total installed capacity of the power system. Therefore, in addition to production and operation, fields such as information technology must quickly adapt to the required appropriate management methods and tools. For this reason, EVN is keen to explore Elproma's solutions and technologies in telecommunications, remote metering, and cybersecurity to learn from Elproma's experiences and those of Poland in general.
