EVN always paying special attention to construction management and quality

This is confirmed by Mr. Pham Minh Ha, Head of the State Authority for Construction Quality Inspection (Ministry of Construction), at the meeting with Vietnam Electricity on 16th January 2020 in Hanoi.

Mr. Pham Minh Ha highly appreciated EVN for efforts in fulfilling its dominant role in ensuring national energy security. The Group has invested hundreds of thousands of billion Vietnamese dong in constructing large-scale and high-tech power projects such as hydropower, thermal, solar power plants, transmission lines and substations nationwide, etc.

According to the Head of State Authority for Construction Quality Inspection (Ministry of Construction), over the past years, EVN has cooperated very closely and effectively with the Authority in managing quality of construction investment projects, particularly: Son La and Lai Chau Hydropower Projects, Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 expansion Thermal Power projects, Duyen Hai 1, Duyen Hai 3 and Duyen Hai 3 expansion Thermal Power projects, etc.

Power source and grid works with investment implemented by EVN and its units are always complied with the approved planning and current laws. EVN has guided, operated, and closely monitored its member units in compliance with the current provisions of the Construction Law and its Decrees, Circulars and documents.

With the recommendations of EVN related to the provisions of the Construction Law and its guiding documents, the Authority is going to invite EVN to contact and discuss in detail when organizing editing the relevant legal documents.

In 2019:

- EVN’s construction investment value: About VND 100,480 billion

- Commence 196 works and complete energizing 192 projects of 110 - 500kV power grid.

- A number of important power source projects of EVN:

• Put Vinh Tan IV Expansion Thermal Power Plant into commercial operation with a capacity of 600MW, 3 months ahead of its schedule.

• Connect power generated from Duyen Hai 3 expansion plant with capacity of 688MW to power grid.

• Commence Phuoc Thai 1 (capacity of 50MW) and Se San 4 (capacity of 49MW) solar power projects.

• Deploy investment in Bac Ai pumped-storage project, particularly focusing on constructing discharge-gate works with the goal of completing in April 2021.
