PTC1: 84.5 TWh of Energy Transmitted Safely

In 2019, Power Transmission Company No. 1 (PTC1) transmitted 84.5 TWh of energy to Northern provinces (from Ha Tinh province northwards), an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period in 2018.

Than Uyen 220kV substation is the first unmanned substation, which is managed and operated by PTC1, in the Northwest region

The operation of the transmission network owned by PTC1 has gradually improved in 2019. With a power loss rate of 2%, PTC1 has not only met the 2019 year’s target but also reached its 2020 year’s target one year earlier than scheduled.

PTC1 has aggressively implemented measures to minimize failures. In particular, the number of failures incurred in 2019 has decreased by 41% compared to that in 2018. All the failures were analyzed, their causes and who would be responsible were considered by PTC1 to provide solutions for addressing and preventing possible similar failures timely.

In construction investment, PTC1 started and energized many projects ahead of schedule, contributing to the overall achievement of the entire EVNNPT and improving operation capacity of the transmission network, reducing power losses.

In 2020, PTC1 continues to strive to complete the targets and tasks of the annual plan on business production, construction investment and finance. In particular, PTC1 strives to reach a transmission output of 92.283 TWh and a power loss rate lower than 2.02%. PTC1 strives to complete 100% of its planned remote control center and unmanned substation. Completion shall be made in all items in the list and the value of the major repair plan assigned by EVNNPT (337 items with a value of VND 289.672 billion).

PTC1 continues to promote and apply science and technology to production, enhance its ability to access the Fourth Industrial Revolution at EVNNPT.
