During the meeting, the two sides engaged in open discussions regarding technical cooperation in the field of power transmission.
Mr. Ton Hoa Thanh shared TBEA’s development strategy, technological capabilities, and experience in implementing projects in Vietnam and the region. He reaffirmed that Vietnam remains TBEA’s most important and strategic market in 2025, and expressed a firm commitment to continue partnering with EVN on current and future key projects.
Chairman Dang Hoang An highly valued TBEA Henyang’s ongoing technological innovation and its proactive approach in meeting Vietnam’s technical standards. In the context of Power Development Plan VIII being updated for greater flexibility and alignment with practical needs, the demand for upgrading the national power grid and transmission systems is rising rapidly. Proactively adopting new technological solutions is therefore regarded as a crucial factor, opening up broad opportunities for cooperation with experienced and capable partners.
EVN’s leadership expressed their desire to strengthen collaboration in training, knowledge sharing, and technology updates, to enhance both sides’ capacity for coordinated implementation of critical transmission projects.
The two parties agreed to maintain regular dialogue and expand cooperation not only in equipment supply but also in technical services, after-sales support, and product standardization, aiming to improve the efficiency and reliability of Vietnam’s power transmission network.
TBEA Henyang is currently one of the key suppliers of transformers for major transmission projects in Vietnam, and has extensive experience in high-voltage projects, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology — a rapidly growing trend as countries accelerate their energy transition efforts.
