Continue to urge progress of project implementation at Quang Trach Power Center

On April 4, in Quang Binh province, EVN’s Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh chaired the April 2025 site dispatch meeting for the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project and the Quang Trach Power Center Infrastructure project. EVN leaders directed construction units to continue to speed up progress on the basis of ensuring absolute safety at the construction site.

The meeting was connected online to the point of EVN headquarters (Hanoi).

According to the report of the Power Project Management Board No. 2 (EVNPMB2), the overall progress of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project has reached 86.26% as targeted, of which the design work has reached 99.2%, the procurement work has reached 95.58%, and the construction and installation work has reached 64.76%. The items of coal warehouse roof, slag dump, cooling water receiving channel, cooling water pipeline, fresh water supply pipeline... are being urged by the investor to be constructed in sync with the progress of the EPC package of the plant.

Meeting was connected online to EVN headquarters’ point .

Regarding the package of Design, supply of goods and construction - coal import port and breakwater, the entire construction work of the coal import port and approach bridge has been completed, while the breakwater item with related works has basically achieved the planned progress from 91.7% - 100%. According to the assessment, these items basically meet the synchronous progress of coal supply for the trial run for Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant in September 2025.
