The commencement ceremony was held on September 22nd at the Dong Ha 220kV Substation in Quang Tri province. Attendees included Mr. Ho Xuan Hoe, Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Dang Huu Phuc, Director of the Hue City Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Le Dinh Chien, Director of PTC2; and representatives from relevant units.

The project is being implemented by PTC2 under the management of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The project involves the installation of a new conductor circuit along with insulation and accessories on the existing Dong Ha – Hue 220kV transmission line.

The existing pole system is designed to support two circuits, but only one has been installed so far. The project will install circuit 3 in the remaining space on this pole system, connecting the Dong Ha 220kV Substation with the Hue 220kV Substation. Simultaneously, a 220kV bay will be constructed and completed at each substation to facilitate the connection of the power lines.

Upon completion, the Dong Ha - Hue 220kV transmission line, circuit 3, will contribute to relieving the capacity of power sources in Quang Tri province, improving transmission capacity and reliability of power supply to the region, and at the same time meet the load demand, serving the socio-economic development of Quang Tri province and Hue city.
