EVN and EDC discuss operation of interconnected power grid between the two countries

On June 26, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity and Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) held a working session on the operation of the interconnected power grid between the two countries. EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai and EDC General Director Praing Chulasa co-chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai and EDC General Director Praing Chulasa both highly appreciated the close exchange and cooperation between EVN - EDC and its member units in the past time. The two sides have established information exchange groups, organized Technical Exchange meetings at least twice a year between the dispatching units to enhance the exchange of operational situations and share experiences in operating the power system; and discussed the operation coordination process.

EVN, EDC leaders, professional departments, and member units of the two sides also discussed many important contents such as Challenges encountered in the power grid connecting process; operation coordination solutions and plans to ensure the safety and stability of the power system of the two countries in the coming time...

At the meeting, EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai and EDC General Director Praing Chulasa signed the working minutes, which clarified the solutions and plans that need to be implemented by both sides to improve further the stability and safety of the interconnected power system between the two countries.

On the same day, the EDC delegation visited the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant and the National Load Dispatch Center.

The meeting continues strengthening the friendly and close relationship between EVN and EDC over the years.
