Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Vo Quang Lam – Vice President of EVN said that over the years, EVN has promoted the application of Industry 4.0 technologies in administrating production and business activities. In particular, the Group has been pushing digital transformation in all areas, with the goal of "basically completing the digital transformation by 2022 and operating under the digital enterprise model by 2025". One of the goals on this roadmap is to build digital platforms, digital ecosystems which are connected to national database platforms, partners and electricity customers.
Mr. Vo Quang Lam – EVN’s Vice President shared that the cooperation between EVN and the National Remote Sensing Department will help the two organizations promote strengths of each party for mutual development.
The cooperation agreement between EVN and the National Remote Sensing Department opens up new opportunities in order to best exploit potentials and promote advantages of each party for mutual development, thereby improving the operational efficiency of the parties; At the same time, EVN is enabled to apply image information, image data, and remote sensing products in survey, engineering consulting, investment and construction of power projects, management, operation and monitoring of power systems in line with the current trend of digital transformation. This agreement is one of the specific solutions and actions for EVN and the National Remote Sensing Department to jointly implement the project "Application of remote sensing for socio-economic development" being developed and submitted by the National Remote Sensing Department to the Government for issuance.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Director of the National Remote Sensing Department affirmed that he will create maximum conditions for EVN to exploit the data of the Department to serve the Group's operations.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Director of the National Remote Sensing Department said that with the signing of the cooperation agreement, the National Remote Sensing Department will create maximum conditions for EVN to exploit remote sensing data to serve the Group’s operations; especially the management and operation of the power grid as well as digital transformation activities.
The signing ceremony between EVN and the National Department of Remote Sensing is an important milestone in the connection with the national remote sensing image database in order to apply image data and remote sensing products in the development of image database, contributing to the development of EVN's digital data platforms. At the same time, it is a step forward on the road to building a digital enterprise with a vision to become a sustainable and effective energy-technology group in the context of the 4th industrial revolution penetrated into all aspects of socio-economic life.
Leaders of EVN and the National Remote Sensing Department signed the cooperation agreement
The cooperation is the basis for orienting the use of image information, image data and remote sensing products in EVN's operations, ensuring that the exploitation of remote sensing image database complies with regulations on exploitation of image information, image data and national remote sensing products.
The process of exploiting and using the remote sensing image database will contribute to accelerating the use of field applications in many operational areas of EVN, especially for EVN’s member units operating in power generation, transmission and business areas. At the same time, it makes an important contribution to building a database for the EVN Digital Ecosystem (EVNCONNECT).
With the strong and on-track digital transformation, EVN has been gradually improving the utility and quality of services for electricity users. Customer satisfaction with services of the power industry has been increasing day by day.
Some key cooperation subjects between EVN and the National Remote Sensing Department:
- Applying image data and remote sensing products to survey, engineering consulting, investment and construction of power projects, operation, management and monitoring of the power system;
- Supporting in building a database of images and remote sensing products of the Group;
- Supporting in training, transferring management tools and exploiting the database of images, remote sensing products of the Group;
- Maintaining the stability and safety of power grids in power supply for remote sensing imaging stations of the National Remote Sensing Department.
