Up to now, regarding the substation construction, the important items such as transformer foundation, resistance component, equipment support foundation, 220kV and 110kV gate towers have been fundamentally completed. The installation of primary equipment has been completed 90%; the installation and connection of secondary equipment has been completed 65%. The primary and secondary calibration experiments have been carried out in parallel with installation activities.
Concerning the 220kV connection line, the digging of 3/3 tower positions, concrete pouring for foundations of 3/3 positions, the installation of 2/3 positions have been finished. The 35kV line and 35kV substation have been energized for auxiliary use.
The project has been constructed since August 2021. During the construction process, despite up to 1.5 months of project interruption, the construction progress has been staying on the targeted schedule.
Construction contractors are working hard to complete and energize the project in March 2022
Once completed, the project will serve the grid interconnection to import electricity from Nam Mo hydropower plant clusters (Laos) to Vietnam according to the agreement between the Governments of the two countries; absorbing energy from small and medium hydropower plants in the southwest region of Nghe An province which have been prepared for construction.
