EVN delegation visits soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district

From April 29 to May 5, 2024, the EVN Delegation led by Member of EVN's Board of Directors Dinh The Phuc visited and worked in the Truong Sa island district.

EVN delegation belongs to delegation No.14, including a total of 228 delegates across the country led by Colonel Cao Van Son, Deputy Head of Naval Logistics.

Along with the joint activities of Delegation No. 14, EVN and the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) awarded practical, effective, and meaningful gifts with the program "Greening Truong Sa" worth VND 700 million, organized the planting of souvenir trees on Truong Sa Island along with awarded many meaningful gifts to officers, soldiers, and people on the islands and the DK1/20 platform.

During the working program, the EVN Delegation inspected and evaluated the clean energy system including wind power and solar power on islands and platforms.

EVN delegation presents gifts to Truong Sa Power Unit

On the occasion of Workers' Month, leaders of EVN, EVNSPC, and the delegation visited and gave gifts to Truong Sa Power Unit, and organized activities to visit and give gifts to people on the islands.

Since the end of July 2017, following the direction of the Government and the Ministry of National Defense, EVN has officially taken over the management of the power system on the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 platform. Immediately after taking over, EVN closely coordinated with the Naval Headquarters to urgently replace, repair, maintain, and upgrade clean energy systems on the islands. Up to now, the islands and DK1 platforms have been supplied with safe and stable electricity. In the coming time, EVN will continue to deploy solutions to improve the reliability and stability of power system operation, meeting the growth in electricity demand on islands and platforms.

The trip of EVN to visit and work in the Truong Sa archipelago and DK1/20 platform in 2024 was implemented according to plan and achieved the set goals and requirements with many practical and meaningful activities, ensuring absolute safety of people and vehicles throughout the business trip.
