EVN leadership works with Sungrow Renewables Group

On May 15, in Hanoi, EVN’s Vice President Ngo Son Hai had a meeting with Sungrow Renewables Group (China) to discuss proposals to strengthen cooperation with EVN in the field of new energy development in Vietnam.

At the meeting, EVN’s Vice President Ngo Son Hai highly appreciated the contributions and effective investment activities in Sungrow Renewables Group's projects, especially in the field of renewable energy including wind and solar power projects with a total capacity of nearly 600MW in Vietnam.

The EVN leader believed that the cooperation potential between EVN and Sungrow Renewables would be great, especially in the context that Vietnam is promoting investment in sustainable renewable energy projects, strengthening cooperation in and sharing optimal solutions to increase the proportion of clean energy in Vietnam, contributing to realizing the Vietnamese Government's commitment of net zero by 2050.

Ms. Nicole Shu, Asia-Pacific General Director of Sungrow Renewables Group, thanked EVN for supporting Sungrow in successfully implementing energy projects in Vietnam and affirmed that Sungrow Renewables would promote market development in Vietnam, invest in more renewable energy projects, actively intellectually contribute to sharing clean energy and energy storage technologies.

Within the meeting, EVN and Sungrow Renewables discussed cooperation initiatives to promote bilateral trade and investment in the fields of renewable energy, green transformation, and innovation in the energy transition process, towards the common Net Zero goal of Vietnam and China.
