In his opening remarks, EVN General Director Tran Dinh Nhan affirmed that digital transformation and information security play a very important role in any activities of EVN in the current period. The General Director of EVN requested the leaders of the Group need to be aware of digital transformation - an inevitable trend in the development of the Power industry.
The General Director of EVN said: Now, data from the electronic meter is automatically transferred to the data center, converted into electronic invoices and customers pay electricity bills via banks. We have witnessed a great change in EVN's customer care business model over the past 10 years.
The transformation in EVN's business - customer service activities in the next 5 - 10 years will be based on digital transformation. In the coming time, power companies and units in Vietnam's retail electricity market will exploit large data sources from the electricity use behavior of more than 100 million people through 28 million smart electronic meters for analyzing and creating more value for EVN and its customers.
Digital transformation will also make changes in other areas such as operating the national power system, operating large power centers, operating large power plants safely and efficiently; at the same time, improving efficiency in project construction investment and management as well as management of large resources of EVN, etc.
