Specifically, in the period 2016 - 2020, the average growth rate of power sales of the province reached 8.18%/year. In 2021, the total power sales of the province were 444 million kWh, an increase of 5.1% compared to 2020; that in 2022 was 468.79 million kWh, an increase of 5.58% over the previous year.
EVN has coordinated with the local authorities to supply electricity to remote and rural areas in Kon Tum. Up to now, 100% of communes/wards and 100% of households in Kon Tum have access to the national grid, which thereby has contributed positively to hunger eradication and poverty reduction, promoted socio-economic development, and improved people's quality of life.
EVN’s President and CEO suggested that project owners of renewable energy projects would invest in Kon Ray 500kV substation and its connection to the national power system. Technically, EVN fully supports this project which is located near 500kV Circuit 2 and 500kV Circuit 3 (about 2km).

At the meeting, the Prime Minister concluded and gave directions on many issues. Regarding the wind power development, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Kon Tum province, and relevant agencies to study and add to the Master Plan VIII a total capacity of 3,000 MW, based on which the province will be able to call for investment in wind power projects. At the same time, businesses are encouraged to be involved in investing in the 500kV substation to connect to the 500kV transmission line, circuit 3 Doc Soi - Pleiku 2. The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to develop a price bracket for all types of power sources in the current period, especially renewable energy.
