As far as predicted that EVN will officially complete the provision of electricity services electronically nationwide in November 2019. This is also one of the key tasks to implement the reform scheme in electricity service provision, towards the 65th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam’s Power Sector.
Before implementing the said on a large scale, EVN has prepared and submitted a deployment schedule to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Information and Communications. The schedule was approved by the ministries for implementation. In August 2019, EVN has piloted implementing this new form of service provision at 15 power companies.
The application of the above-mentioned form is evaluated in line with the trend of digital transformation and IT application in developing e-commerce. Therefore, it is not only enhancing transparency and convenience in electricity service transactions but also diversifying communication methods between customers and the power sector.
In addition, the provision of electricity services in the form of electronic transactions helps EVN shorten the service provision process; boost labour productivity, save business costs; improve management efficiency, supervise the resettlement of customer inquiries at the power units.
Electronic transactions will provide a convenient, simple and time-saving experience for customers. Furthermore, service dossiers prepared in electronic form will help customers easily look up, monitor information and make any revision in power purchase contracts.
