According to Professor, Academician and DrSc., Tran Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Electrical Engineering Association, the two of the key tasks under the cooperation program between EVN and VEEA include organizing a Scientific conference of "Improving the efficiency of power market" and the scientific research project of "Assessing damages caused by power outages".

Specifically, the scientific conference of "Improving the efficiency of power market" is to be hosted by Southern Power Corporation in November 2020. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese and foreign scientists, researchers, investors, managers to discuss and share solutions to develop and improve the efficiency of Vietnam’s power market.

The research project of "Assessing damages caused by power outages" will contribute to developing rational policies, plans and decisions in power investment, development, operational management and business activities in Vietnam. VEEA also expects that, through this project, a method of assessing damages caused by power outages in line with the development of Vietnam's economy in general and Vietnam's power system in particular will be developed.

Deputy General Director Ngo Son Hai highly appreciated and advocated VEEA's proposals; he also directed the Group’s related units to actively coordinate with VEEA for the successful implementation of the parties’ cooperation program.
