EVN welcomes and works with delegation of Swedish Export Credit Agency

On the afternoon of 30 October 2024, in Hanoi, EVN Vice President Nguyen Xuan Nam welcomed and worked with the delegation of the Swedish Export Credit Agency (EKN) and the Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK).
The Swedish delegation was led by Mr. Johan Ndisi - the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Vietnam. Ms. Anna-Karin Jatko - General Director, of Export Credit Agency for Vietnamese Partners; Mr. Magnus Montan - CEO, of Swedish Export Credit Corporation and leaders in the department participated in the delegation.
The Swedish delegation expressed its desire to build a long-term partnership with Vietnam, focusing not only on the Government level but also on businesses through credit support packages to promote economic growth and innovation in areas such as digitalization, smart cities, smart transportation, and energy. This cooperation also aims to support Vietnam's zero net emissions targets and commitments to combat climate change.

Speaking at the meeting, EVN Vice President Nguyen Xuan Nam informed that there is currently no specific project to use export credit, however, EVN and many other parties are still maintaining exchanges and seeking cooperation opportunities in areas such as power transmission and renewable energy.
EVN expressed its interest and readiness to cooperate with Swedish export credit organizations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue to exchange and seek specific cooperation opportunities in the coming time, to promote the partnership between Vietnam and Sweden in the energy sector.
