At the Conference for year-end summary of production and business activities of 2016 and execution of assignments of 2017 of the Central Power Company (EVNCPC), Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Vice President of the Company said that, during 2016 the Company undertook sufficient electricity supply to meet electricity demands for socio – economic development and residential purposes of the people in the Central Region and Central Highlands.

The power sales of the entire Company reached over 14.88 billion kWh, increasing by 9.73% compared to the year 2015, or over 100% of the assigned plan by EVN; the power loss achieved at 5,73%, or 0.17% lower than the targeted norm and this was the first year that the Company reached such a level lower than 6%.
In addition, all the electricity supply reliability indices fit the targets, in which MAIFI was 2.9 times, SAIDI 1,677 minutes and SAIFI 9.7 times; time length for handling procedures for new electricity provision by the Company to customers averaged 6.22 days/project and no more projects taking more than 10 days for processing.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh, during 2016, EVNCPC as a whole performed 977/977 projects, energized 444 110 kV, medium voltage, low voltage projects; completed, commissioned and energized the Project for on-grid electricity supply to Cu Lao Cham island commune via submarine cable on September 3, 2016; started construction of many electrification projects for rural, mountainous areas, islands (Project 2081), of which the project component in Khanh Hoa province has been completed 100%, and at present is under procedural preparation for energizing.
During the last year, EVNCPC took over the rural low voltage power grid in 12 communes with the take-over amount comprising 295 km low voltage lines and over 28,550 households. Up to now, the Company has got 100% of the districts, 99.9% of the communes and 98.56% of the rural households being electrified.
