Reporting to the EVN’s mission at the meeting on June 7, General Director of EVNGENCO1 Nguyen Huu Thinh said that in 2024, EVNGENCO1 is assigned to produce about 31.6 billion kWh, an increase of 1.5% compared to 2023. This requires great focus and effort in the context that the domestic economy is forecasted to face further difficulties and challenges.
To ensure electricity supply, the Corporation has paid attention to improving the reliability and rated capacity of thermal power units, complying with operating procedures and technical standards, conducting periodic incident drills, strengthening training to improve the skills of operators, and enhancing inspection of the compliance with operating discipline during operation shifts.
EVNGENCO1’s General Director Nguyen Huu Thinh reports to EVN leader on Corporation's production situation in first 5 months of 2024
Regarding maintenance work, the Corporation and its member units have prepared sufficient materials and equipment and coordinated with the National Load Dispatch Center to proactively register for equipment maintenance during off-peak periods of the system; ready to meet operational requirements in times of high dispatching needs of the system.
Previously, at the end of 2023, EVNGENCO1 signed cooperation agreements with coal suppliers to sufficiently meet coal requirements to operate power plants in all situations. By the end of May 2024, the volume of coal supply meets operation requirements and maintains a minimum inventory level according to regulations, considering the case of higher mobilization by the system.
As a result, the Corporation completed its generation plan for the first 5 months of the year with 14.07 billion kWh, reaching 103.9% of the 5-month plan and 44.9% of the year plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; ensuring electricity supply for the country, in the context of a sharp increase in electricity demand.
