Reporting to the EVN working group, Deputy General Director of EVNGENCO1 Le Hai Dang said that in the first half of 2024, the demand for electricity consumption continuously increased, in which the electricity system load in June increased by 11.17% compared to that of the previous same period in 2023.
To meet the increased demand for electricity consumption, EVNGENCO1 has implemented many solutions to ensure electricity supply in the 2024 dry season, making efforts to operate plants to meet the mobilization needs of the National power system.

Accordingly, EVNGENCO1 always maintains fuel sources to meet operating needs and reserve requirements. The Corporation has worked with local units to have a plan to use water resources economically and effectively, as a basis to supply enough water to serve the needs of downstream areas until the end of the dry season.
With synchronous and effective solutions, in the first 6 months of 2024, the power production output of the entire Corporation reached 16.73 billion kWh, equivalent to 101.4% of the 6-month plan and equal to 53.4% compared to the yearly plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT)/EVN. It is estimated that the Corporation's total electricity production for the whole year will reach 32,214 million kWh, equal to 102.7% of the yearly plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) and 103.3% over the same period. The environmental protection is emphasized and many strict and effective measures are implemented.
