EVNHCMC's union members and youth have installed 10 sets of solar lights at the flagpole area of Phu Quy island. Thereby, it has contributed to the dissemination and education of the love for the homeland; raising the awareness and responsibility for the sea and islands sovereignty protection of the young generation, children, people and visitors when arriving on Phu Quy island.

The Youth Union of EVNHCMC has also repaired power systems for 6 households with extremely difficult circumstances on the island; guided local people on the safe use of electricity, electricity-related fire and explosion prevention; donated one printer to the border guards on the island.
In addition, the Youth Union of EVNHCMC has cooperated with local youth and students to collect plastic wastes in the coastal area, in order to jointly communicate the sense of marine environment protection.
