EVNHCMC conducts survey and design of work based on Geographic Information System (GIS)

From 1 March 2020, in the process of medium-voltage power supply, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) will abandon the survey at the customer's address, instead of the work design survey on the application of Geographic Information System (GIS).

From the GIS database in the management and operation of the grid, the design department will determine the alignment, the location of installing items and the method of connecting the power supply to customers, instead of on-site survey, helping reduce design survey time, and customers don't spend much time for coordination.

For customers using power through low-voltage grid with 1-phase or 3-phase galvanometer, if the load demand of the customer is not more than 160kVA, the power company shall supply power to the customer with the time not over 03 working days; In case of digging the road, underground cable construction, etc., the handling time shall not exceed 07 working days. In particular, customers are completely free of charge in the process of providing electricity services.

For customers using power with capacity more than 160kVA through specialized transformer substations, if the projects are invested by power companies, all investment procedures shall be performed by the power company, customers shall only perform the signing for power purchase agreement (PPA). The investment duration of a power company shall not exceed 13 working days, counting from the time of receiving the power supply request until the completion of work and signing PPA with customers.

If the project is invested by the customer, the time limit for solving procedures of the electricity sector and the State agencies is not over 08 working days (excluding the time of investment made by the customer and the time of transferring records to the state authority for settlement).
